Vasl Single Artists Residency with Ahmed Ali Manganhar

Artist Ahmed Ali Manganhar undertook a self-initiated residency at Vasl over the summer of 2011. Taking advantage of Vasl's base, he was able to live in Karachi for an extended duration, and while producing work, he networked within and contributed to the atmosphere of contemporary art in the city. Such residencies enable Vasl to support artists' practice within Pakistan, and to avail its resources to those requiring space and accommodation in Karachi. Our programmes remain active throughout the year when we can facilitate residencies such as this one.
