Kristeva, very directly suggests that the production of a work and the artists life itself have no discontinuity between them. But that does not mean that the works are just a reflection of the creator’s intentions, personality or his life. The function of the art depends on the psychological state of the creator. I agree with Kristeva when she sees the art, not as an object, but as a process, or practice, which ‘creates’ the subject.
