This body of work deals with issues of power, corruption both moral and of the flesh; and the decay and eventual metamorphosis of all things living. The fragility of the flower forms is deceptive as they will out-live the human forms, indeed they are already encroaching and encompassing the space of the human forms. These latter are spent forces and having unwisely interfered with Nature, have to pay the reckoning.

The Crucifix Paintings show a world where the unthinkable has happened and with the death of that one man, the human race is on its way to destruction. It is the end of reason and balance.
